Provide flexibility in meeting campus needs by assisting in the office and/or in the classrooms as determined by the principal. This grant‑funded position is available up to the end of the school year; no guarantee of continued employment beyond the grant funds.
Qualifications- Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- High School/Trade School degree preferred (Job Requirements)
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
Experience working with children/students or parents.
Special Knowledge / Skills- Ability to work will with children
- Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned
- Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment
- Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed
- Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required
- Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned
- Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations
- Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events as required
Copier, multi-line telephone, facsimile, audiovisual equipment, and computer/peripherals.
Working Conditions- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Work with frequent interruptions
- Frequent requests to complete work in restrictive time frames
- May include a lot of standing, stooping, bending
- May be required to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
Contribute to preventing accidents and injuries by observing safety rules, following district policy, practicing safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidents immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in maintaining workplace safety.
