Provide flexibility in meeting campus needs by assisting in the office and/or in the classrooms as determined by the principal.
Length of Work Year & Salary: 187 days Paraprofessional 030 pay scale
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate, High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Ability to work well with children, Ability to use/learn basic computer applications, Knowledge of general office equipment, Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Experience working with children/students or parents
Equipment Used:
Copier, multi-line telephone, facsimile, audiovisual equipment, and computer/peripherals
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress, Work with frequent interruptions, Frequent requests to complete work in restrictive time frames, May include a lot of Standing, stooping, bending, May be required to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
Safety:
Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
