Job Description:

Irving, Texas, invites a passionate School Psychologist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide prehensive psychological services to students within our diverse and dynamic public school district.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning, utilizing a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide remendations to educators, parents, and other stakeholders to support students' educational and social-emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to address students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns, collaborating with school staff to promote positive outes.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing issues such as academic achievement, social skills, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance the overall school climate and promote positive behavior management strategies.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the development of educational plans for students with special needs.
  • Conduct crisis interventions and provide support to students and staff during challenging situations, collaborating with munity resources as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results, interventions, progress notes, and other relevant documentation in pliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of school psychology, participating in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited university.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) in the state of Texas.
  • Certification from the Texas State Board of Education as a School Psychologist or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience working in educational settings, preferably in urban or diverse school districts.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with knowledge of standardized assessment measures and behavioral intervention techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, munication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and munity stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
