Islamic Studies Teacher provides instruction to students at the grade levels, fostering an educational atmosphere where students can fulfill their potential as knowledgeable and productive Muslims. The teacher will implement engaging learning activities in Islamic studies, with an emphasis on Islamic character development, while also fulfilling general teaching responsibilities in alignment with school policies and educational standards.
QualificationsMinimum
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Preferable valid Texas teaching certificate from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of one year of teaching experience in Islamic Studies Teacher or general education.
- Candidates with degrees from accredited U.S. colleges/universities preferred.
- Willingness to uphold and model Islamic values and dress code.
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Quranic studies, including Tajweed and memorization techniques.
- Ability to instruct students effectively and manage classroom behavior.
- Knowledge of curriculum planning and instructional strategies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with technology, including MS Office and internet-based educational tools.
- Fluent in Arabic (Fussha) is a plus.
- Has excellent knowledge of Islamic Subjects and believes and acts according to the Islamic values taught to the students.

Additional Duties:
Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Should be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decision-making.
Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and school policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidents immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
