Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct learning needs assessments to identify performance gaps, audience requirements, and the most effective instructional approaches.
  • Partner with field and office subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content, validate technical accuracy, and translate real-world knowledge into effective learning.
  • Design well-sequenced learning paths and curricula that support progressive role development and skill building.
  • Design and facilitate cohort-based learning programs that support peer interaction, applied practice, and progressive skill development.
  • Develop e-learning courses with a primary focus on Articulate Rise, supported by video development (Camtasia and similar tools) and visual assets in Canva.
  • Develop complete instructor-led and blended course packages including facilitator scripts, presentation materials, participant guides, knowledge checks, and assessments.
  • Design courses that incorporate in-person elements and observational assessment components.

  • Incorporate formative and summative assessment strategies, including knowledge checks, observational evaluations, and performance-based assessments.
  • Produce performance support materials such as job aids, quick-reference guides, and checklists.
  • Design and package consistent branded content suites for multiple delivery methods (self-paced e-learning, virtual instructor-led, in-person, blended, and on-the-job support).
  • Build and maintain content strategy for the LMS, including structured build-out of learning pathways and resources across multiple departments.
  • Manage the full content lifecycle in the LMS: upload, organize, tag, update, and retire materials with attention to version control and usability.
  • Participate in reporting strategy related to learner engagement, course completions, and learner feedback to inform continuous improvement.
  • Analyze learner engagement, completion, and feedback data to refine content and improve program effectiveness.
  • Continuously improve existing training based on feedback, performance data, and operational needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Learning, Learning & Development, or a closely related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in instructional design, with at least 3 years at a senior or lead level designing and developing learning programs.
  • Proven experience designing sequenced, outcome-driven learning for adult professionals (preferably in construction, trades, technical, or safety-regulated environments).
Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in e-learning development, with primary expertise in Articulate Rise.
  • Hands‑on experience with video development tools (Camtasia or equivalent) and Canva (or similar design platforms).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with SMEs in construction field operations and translate field knowledge into clear, usable training.
  • Strong skill in writing scripts, building presentations, creating assessments, and developing practical job aids.
  • Experience designing courses that include in‑person delivery, observational assessment elements, and cohort‑based learning.
  • Experience packaging complete, consistent branded content suites for multiple delivery methods.
  • Advanced LMS administration and content strategy experience, including multi‑department content organization and pathway design.
