This is a grant funded position. Funds for this position are expected to be available up to the end of the school year. In addition to other specified conditions of employment, the applicant understands that no guarantee of continued employment, beyond the availability of the grant funds, is expressed or implied by Irving Independent School District.
A Letter of Assurance will be issued for this position.
JOB GOALProvide flexibility in meeting campus needs by assisting in the office and/or in the classrooms as determined by the principal.

QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification- Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work will with children
- Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with children/students or parents
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned
- Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment
- Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed
- Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required
- Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned
- Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations
- Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required
