PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
Support the principal in the leadership and daily administration of the assigned campus by assisting with campus operations, student support processes, discipline management, instructional monitoring, testing coordination, staff supervision, and other administrative duties as assigned to promote a safe, orderly, and effective learning environment.
Minimum Education /Certification
- Master's Degree
- Valid Texas Administrator's Certificate or within one year of earning
- T-TESS certification
- AEL or ILD certification
- Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in decision making.
- Knowledge in the selection, training, and supervision of personnel.
- Ability to facilitate student support meetings such as ARDs, 504s, MTSS, & LPACs.
- Facilitate state and local testing programs.
- Implement and manage the school’s discipline management program.
- Supervise teachers and staff during evening/weekend events as assigned.
- Knowledge of laws, rules, procedures, and programs specifically related to the operation of school in Texas.
Minimum Experience
:
At least three (3) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher.

- Assist the principal to promote activities to recognize and honor students, staff, and community volunteers for various types of service and accomplishments.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the school's mission; collaboratively build with staff a common vision for school improvement.
- Promote high expectations for staff and students in an enabling supportive manner.
- Provide leadership that produces desired results and significant improvement in student academic achievement.
- Identify and apply research findings to facilitate school improvement.
- Assess various aspects of the school program and effectively use the resultant information to implement actions that improve learning and provide an orderly and purposeful environment.
- Implement actions that ensure each staff member's knowledge and understanding of the annual campus plan for school improvement.
- Monitor student attendance; devise and implement strategies that improve student attendance.
