Responsibilities
Operate raw water pump stations, electrical systems, and the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, tanks, vaults, pipelines, valves, control valves, and phone lines. Maintain grounds, easements, and vehicles. Prepare reports and keep related files. The position is assigned to the Lake Chapman raw water system at the booster station located 12 miles east of McKinney, just outside Princeton, Texas.
Be available for callback during emergency situations and respond within 90 minutes.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years of experience in water system operation and/or construction, including pump stations and pipelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Current TCEQ Class C Water Distribution license
- Valid Class C Texas driver’s license
- Ability to work day, evening, or night shifts; flexible hours
Pay Grade: GG16 Full Pay Range: $24.24 - $34.18 per hour
