Responsibilities- Unleash your inner inventor! Design new products and give existing ones a fabulous makeover to meet customer needs and specifications. It’s like extreme makeover: product edition!
- Be the go‑to guru for all things technical. Provide support to internal departments and select customers, because knowledge is power, and you’re practically a superhero!
- Channel your inner detective to review drawings and documentation. Make sure they’re up to snuff with project specs and company policies. No detail escapes your eagle eyes!
- Become the master of change with Engineering Change Release Notifications (ECN's). It’s like being a DJ, but for engineering – you’re dropping the hottest updates!
- Craft and update product design guidelines, customer standards, and analytical reports. Think of it as writing the rulebook for awesome engineering!
- Put on your thinking cap and brainstorm solutions to product‑related problems. Present your eureka moments to the Engineering Manager – you’re basically the Sherlock Holmes of engineering!
- Be a safety superstar! Participate in all of Smiths Interconnect’s EHS programs, policies, procedures, and training requirements. Safety first, then engineering brilliance!

- A shiny Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Design preferred). It’s your golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s factory, but for cool gadgets!
- 2+ years of experience in the wild world of engineering. We’re talking real‑life XP points here!
- A Jedi‑like knowledge of engineering mechanics, physics, and manufacturing methods. May the force of science be with you!
- Solid Works 3D modeling skills that would make Tony Stark jealous. Equivalent software skills are cool too!
- GD&T and ANSI/ASME standards? You know them like the back of your hand.
