Entry Level Geotechnical Field Engineer

Overview

Kleinfelder is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer for its Geotechnical team in Irving, Texas. The role supports field sampling, inspection, and laboratory activities for complex projects.

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, logging, observations, and testing to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
• Submit daily field reports and data summaries.
• Support laboratory testing activities.
• Conduct engineering calculations under the supervision of a professional engineer.
• Maintain project objectives and organizational goals set by the project manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Zero to three years of experience in geotechnical field engineering.
• Ability to read and review test procedures, standards, plans, and specifications.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.

This position requires travel and/or night work.
