Position Location: Hybrid remote/in-office role supporting our Irving, TX branch location serving customers throughout the greater Dallas, TX area.
Responsibilities- Design building automation solutions for higher education and K–12 education facilities, data centers, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, high-rise buildings, and lab facilities.
- Prepare design documents, including mechanical system layouts, electrical drawings, bills of materials, sequences of operations, valve and damper schedules, and DDC panel layouts.
- Design building automation network architecture to support operator workstations, DDC field panels, and third‑party integration devices connected through Modbus, Siemens APOGEE, or BACnet.
- Analyze plans, construction contract specifications, and codes to determine project requirements and risks.
- Design building and space pressurization solutions, chiller and boiler plant sequencing control, and related control strategies.
- Prepare engineering re‑estimates and follow up with appropriate sales and management to ensure understanding of and satisfaction with job scope.
- High school diploma or GED (state‑recognized).
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals of building automation and HVAC system controls based on applicable work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or other engineering design software.
- Ability to work in a hybrid (on‑site/remote) environment in the Greater Dallas/Ft. Worth Metro area.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience designing building automation (HVAC controls) projects with standard tools, products, and practices.
- 1+ years of experience utilizing AutoCAD.
$48,266 – $82,742 annually. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget, candidate experience, and geography.
