Position: Maintenance Technician 2 - 1st shift (Onsite)

What You Will Do
  • Perform aircraft engine maintenance on all models of Pratt & Whitney Commercial aircraft engines.
  • Have an incessant focus on the quality of the service you provide and the safety of our Customers and Team Members ensuring all Environmental Health and Safety requirements, Pratt & Whitney/Raytheon Policy and Procedure and Customer/Regulatory Agency quality requirements are met.
  • Assist the team in producing first in class aircraft engine maintenance turn around time/response time through team collaboration and execution of RTX's CORE operating system and continuous improvement processes.
  • Understand and follow appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engine Shop Manual procedures and/or other approved technical data when performing maintenance.
  • Perform other supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as required.
  • Build Internal and External relationships through good communication skills and understanding of customer perspectives.
  • The position is based at the Dallas TX site reporting directly to the Site Operations Leader.
  • This is an on‑site, day shift position with typical hours of 6:00am – 2:30pm.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 1-year relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in repair of commercial aircraft engines.
  • Holder of a valid Federal Aviation Administration Airframe & Powerplant license.
  • Analytical Skills and an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Highly motivated self‑starter and creative troubleshooting skills.
  • Possess excellent judgment and professional maturity.
  • Possess extraordinary people and social skills, collaborative team player.

Pratt & Whitney Dallas, TX, is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre‑employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
