Entry Level Geotechnical Field Engineer

Job Description

Entry Level Field Engineer in Geotechnical Services, Irving, Texas.

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, logging observations, and testing on materials projects.
• Conduct routine to complex geotechnical sampling, inspection, and testing in the field.
• Document subsurface conditions, log soil and rock classifications, and maintain accurate field notes.
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets summarizing field activities.
• Support laboratory testing activities as needed.
• Conduct engineering calculations under supervision of a professional engineer.
• Maintain objectives, initiatives, and overall goals set by the project manager.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in geotechnical field engineering.
• Ability to read and review test procedures, standards, plans, and specifications.
• Valid TX Driver's License.
• Travel and/or night work availability.
