Job SummaryThe Technical Product Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for EZ Dock product-related questions, support, and coordination across internal teams and external partners. This role acts as a liaison between Engineering, Production, Sales, Quality, and Distributors to ensure products are accurate, properly documented, and effectively supported in the field.
This position is responsible for maintaining product knowledge, resolving technical inquiries, supporting product implementation, and ensuring alignment between product design, production processes, and field application. The role plays a critical part in ensuring a consistent and high-quality customer and distributor experience.
Essential Functions- Serves as the primary technical point of contact for distributors, sales teams, and internal stakeholders regarding product questions, applications, and support.
- Review and approve product related warranty claims.
- Coordinates cross‑functional communication between Engineering, Production, Quality, and Sales to ensure alignment on product specifications, changes, and issues.
- Supports the resolution of product‑related issues by gathering information, troubleshooting, and coordinating solutions with appropriate teams.
- Maintains and communicates accurate product information, including part numbers, configurations, and application guidelines.
- Assists in the creation and maintenance of product documentation, including installation instructions, user guides, and technical resources.
- Participates in product testing, validation, and field evaluations to support Engineering and Quality initiatives.
- Responsible for set‑up and testing of parts.
- Monitors and communicates recurring product or field issues to Engineering and Quality teams to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Supports trade shows, training sessions, field installations, and distributor meetings as a technical resource when required.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, particularly in managing product information and documentation.
- Proficient with reading manufacturing drawings and using Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and coordinate solutions across multiple teams.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow‑through.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or business‑related field preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or engineering support role.
- Experience working in manufacturing, construction, marine, or industrial product environments preferred.
- Position involves reaching, climbing and balancing, carrying and installing parts and components, and visiting production areas to be involved in engineering of product.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times on an occasional basis.
- Position requires frequent sitting at computer.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Appearance / UniformsAll employees must maintain a neat, clean and well‑groomed appearance.
OtherPlay Power hours of operation will be determined as they apply to each shift requirement applicable to each department. Shift hours will be subject to change by the department manager and/or corporate management. Overtime may be required with or without notice (all overtime must be approved by his/her supervisor). Travel may be required.
