Your role in our team
- You will write Detailed Design documents (i.e., Controls Architecture)
- You will write, debug, and test PLC code
- You will write and execute test cases
- You will finalize a design and its deliverables, according to our processes, to guarantee a smooth transition to the relevant stakeholders
- You will define a plan for the work to be done, estimate the workload and lead time, and communicate to relevant colleagues about changes and risks proactively.
- You will work on technical solutions for complex functions, while respecting both Koerber standard solutions and innovative technologies
- You will support projects from concept through client turnover with a positive result contribution on technical performance, financial results, and the organization
- Involved in the engineering, execution, and commissioning of Material Handling Projects
- Communicate closely with other groups within KSC and the project team (i.e., electrical and software engineering, mechanical engineering, project management, supply chain, sales/proposal department, and installation) and support the Körber software standardization platform
- Learn new skills and stay current on the latest technology (technical professional), adapts to changes, and is solution-oriented
- You can work on topics/issues at the discipline level, exceeding the product level, and initiating improvement
- You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- You have gained a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field and have successfully demonstrated PLC program development & commissioning
- You have experience with Allen‑Bradley and Siemens PLC languages, architecture, and networks. Other platforms are a plus
- You know (controls) engineering theories and principles and in-depth knowledge of software development and test approaches
- You have network architecture experience using Ethernet/IP, Profi Net, Profibus, ASI Bus, Control Net, and Device Net
- You have experience in Human‑Machine Interface programming
- You have experience with conveyor systems (Parcel, ASRS, etc.), large machine design, and/or motor control desired
- You can travel up to 50%
- You have strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to document technical decisions using illustrations and explanations
- You are an effective team player on complex projects, with a proactive, hands‑on work ethic
- You are proficient in structured text programming and adaptable to changing environments
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines
