RF Engineer
Location: Irving, Texas (Partial Remote)
Employment Type: Contract
Role OverviewThis RF engineer role is part of a support team for RF Design in Dallas, Texas, responsible for various project-based tasks. The position involves working on traditional macro sites, small cells, relocations, temporary sites, and other modification projects. The work follows the lifecycle of a project from site review and design through regulatory and technical documentation to in‑service activation.
Key Responsibilities- Support various project‑based tasks related to RF design.
- Handle projects including macro sites, small cells, relocations, and modifications.
- Manage project tasks through the entire lifecycle, from site review to in‑service.
- Collaborate with the Real Estate team and other RF engineers to complete tasks.
- Perform virtual or remote site reviews.
- Conduct field visits as required.
Must‑Have
Skills:
- General familiarity with the overall cell build process.
- Knowledge of how to read ZD/CDs.
- Attention to detail for regulatory and technical documentation.
- Understanding of basic RF concepts and antenna theory.
- Knowledge of RF propagation and project management tools.
Education:
- Some completed higher education is required. A four‑year degree is preferred but not required.
- Recent experience with a telecommunications carrier.
- Recent experience with tools such as Atoll and Fuze SPM/RFDS/CQ.
- Knowledge of the Dallas market.
The standard work schedule is an 8 AM to 5 PM, 40‑hour workweek, with some overtime as required. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to work in the Irving office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and perform field visits as needed. The majority of site reviews are conducted virtually or remotely.
