• Managing a diverse range of traffic engineering projects.
• Acting as the contact for the Traffic and Transportation Department for development review (new construction, planning, and building permit reviews).
• Ensuring the planning, design, and operation of traffic systems to enhance safety, mobility, and efficiency.
• Supporting senior staff and mentoring junior engineers and traffic engineering technicians.
• Authoring and revising technical specifications and design manuals.
• Utilizing advanced expertise in traffic analysis, transportation planning/schematic design, engineering plan review, and roadway design.
• Representing the Department in public meetings.
• Collaborating closely with local agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with six years of civil engineering experience, a Texas Professional Engineering license (P.E.) with three years of experience as a professional engineer, and a valid state‑issued driver’s license.

Pay Grade EN28, Full Pay Range $81,147‑$111,484 per month ($97,764‑$137,808 annually).

Pay Grade EN26, Full Pay Range $73,388‑$104,416 per month ($88,656‑$124,992 annually).
