Engineer-Equipment III Hybrid | Transport​/Equipment Engineering

Job Title: Engineer-Equipment - III
Duration: 24 Months+
Location: Any nearest Client office

• Perform detailed equipment engineering for network augments. This includes developing all of the specifications required for installation forces to properly install, turn-up, inventory, and configure the equipment, obtaining appropriate management approvals, issuing purchase orders, creating applicable diagrams/drawings, and ensuring vendor delivery.
• Ensure that work meets all applicable engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards.
• Develop Bill of Material and place orders for network equipment, rack, and hardware requirements.
• Define cable requirements, create cable running lists, and order all cables.
• Order all spares required based on sparing plan or directed by capacity management.
• Manage, input, and update central Network Inventory Database (i.e. ICON, Nautilus, CoFEE, CCP) to reflect new builds, adds, and decommissions.

• Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience performing detailed engineering and creating technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides) tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.

• Direct working knowledge of Tellabs 7100, Nortel 5200, Fuji 9500, Fuji 4500, Fuji 4100 and/or ROADM technology.
• Strong knowledge of both Outside Plant and Inside Plant facilities and characteristics.
• Experience installing telecommunications equipment.
• Experience using CAD based software tools.
• Knowledge or familiarity with the following systems: vBuild, FIM, TCOMS, CANVAS, CCP, COA, SRM/nSAP, AYS.

• College degree, or relevant experience.
