This position reports directly to Safran USA CFO, and is responsible for managing the controlling of SUSA/SHRS/other entities and some other financial activities of Safran USA based in Dallas.
Responsibilities- Ensuring adequate internal controls, integrity of financial statements, reporting, forecasting, planning, costing and continuous improvement in financial and management reporting.
- The head of controlling reports to the CFO and manages a team of 5 controllers in SUSA and 2 controllers in SSNA.
- This is a very hands‑on position with high visibility and daily interactions.
- Work closely with Senior Management of Safran USA in Dallas, including the GM, HR, Tax, Purchasing, Legal etc. and to improve company's financial performance.
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close process until the reporting process through BFC‑Convergence (Group financial reporting tool).
- Prepare budgets by leading, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, recommending plans and drives performance improvement through the use of key performance indicators.
- Coordinate with the tax department on tax consolidation matters: tax cash flow, tax consolidation entries in books.
- Ensure controls and procedures are in place. Performs testing and evaluations of the processes according to the SAFRAN internal control process (annual group Internal Control campaign, reporting through I‑CARE).
- Supervise filing of survey report to the Government at a US consolidated level (more than 25 entities in the scope).
- Integrate new entities into the US Group following M&A activities.
- Handle and improve accounting processes and activities: monthly closing, revenue generation, accounts receivable and accounts payables analysis.
- Drive financial and administrative process and system improvements to deliver best in class business and decision‑making support processes, including working with affiliates and SAFRAN SA directions in France HQ.
- Support requirements for Internal Audit, Mazars and Tax auditors.
- Lead team(s) in identifying, quantifying and mitigating risk.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
- Audit experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience and finance experience in manufacturing environment.
- CPA or CMA Certification.
- Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS accounting.
