Job Description
Are you a strategic finance leader with a passion for driving growth? We are seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to be the financial architect of our Southwest region's success. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead top-line growth by partnering with key executives and leveraging your analytical prowess to uncover and execute new revenue opportunities.
You will serve as the key liaison to our Revenue Recognition & Analytics, Commercial Finance & Analytics, and Optum 360 teams, ensuring accuracy in our financial reporting. This position directly supports and partners with the Southwest region Commercial team to drive profitable topline growth through analyses of new and existing business and monitors strategic follow-up actions that directly impact the bottom line.
The role will oversee 1-2 Financial analysts.
Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Reporting- Drive the month-end closing process to ensure precise revenue reporting and conduct detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year results.
- Deliver insightful financial reviews to our Executive Leadership team, highlighting current performance and future trends.
- Act as the local expert for sales inquiries and ad-hoc analysis, providing clarity on payor mix, pricing, and billing systems.
- Develop and manage the monthly revenue forecast, incorporating business insights and collaboration with the Commercial team.
- Oversee all revenue-related aspects of the Annual Operating Plan (Budget).
- Provide critical insights and analysis to support the region's Market Strategy process.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all RFPs, creating pro forma financials for various business opportunities including Physician business, lab management services (POL), and more.
- Provide robust financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support Account Management and evaluate customer and contract profitability.
- Manage all aspects of pricing, including special requests (Physician pricing) and the annual client fee increase process, ensuring strict compliance with corporate policies.
- Act as a key business partner to the Sales and Customer Operations teams to ensure seamless customer transitions and onboarding.
- Key business partner for Billing (Optum).
- Review and improve current processes.
- Continuously review financial reporting and evaluate potential for RPA/AI automation.
- Create dashboards that enable faster data evaluation and show actionable insights. Qualifications Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA and/or CPA is highly preferred.
ExperienceApproximately 5 to 7+ years of professional finance or accounting experience. Direct supervisory experience is a plus.
SkillsStrong knowledge of financial and operational processes, with practical application of strategic analysis. High proficiency in Microsoft Office is desired. BI/tableau preferred.
