Overview
Summary: The Retirement Specialist Senior supports the administration of CHRISTUS Health’s Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit retirement plans, with a strong emphasis on promoting financial wellness across the organization. This role focuses on technical execution, vendor coordination, and participant support, while contributing to compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement. The Senior serves as a resource to junior team members and collaborates closely with vendors and internal departments to enhance the financial well-being of associates.

Competencies:
Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. - Administer retirement plans and ensure accurate data management and recordkeeping.
- Coordinate with vendors, TPAs, and internal departments to resolve participant issues.
- Support annual audits, nondiscrimination testing, and Form 5500 preparation.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing plan documents, communications, and SPDs.
- Research and resolve complex inquiries related to plan operations and compliance.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide informal mentorship and guidance to Retirement Specialist I/II team members.
- Maintain current knowledge of plan design, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.
- Perform other duties aligned with strategic retirement plan and financial wellness initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Education/Skills
• Bachelors degree in business or related field required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. - Experience
• 5 to 7 years of retirement/benefits experience.
• Strong understanding of retirement plan operations, compliance, and vendor coordination.
• Experience with plan implementation, conversion, and strategic program development. - Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
• CEBS, PHR, or similar certification preferred. - In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.
Work Schedule: 5 Days - 8 Hours
