As a Senior Reinsurance Accountant, you will:

• Oversee all reinsurance accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports.
• Review and analyze reinsurance contracts, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement effective financial strategies.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, providing expert advice and recommendations.
• Monitor and manage the company's reinsurance recoverable balances.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation that may impact the company's reinsurance operations.
• Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, and systems.

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Reinsurance Accountant position should have:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in reinsurance accounting, preferably within the P&C industry.
• Extensive knowledge of reinsurance contracts and related accounting standards.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial colleagues.
• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
