Description

Northrop Grumman’s Financial Shared Services team is looking for a Manager 2 of Financial Assurance, reporting to the Director of Financial Shared Services. Primary responsibilities include management of the Financial Shared Services SOX PMO team and the Imputed & Proxy reporting team. This role will be located in Irving, Texas and will have an in-person requirement of a minimum of two days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Financial Shared Services SOX PMO team and activities, including preparation, review, and sign‑off of quarterly SOX certifications, serving as the primary contact for related SOX compliance issues, coordinating remediation plans, tracking progress, and reporting status to senior leadership.

  • Support ongoing SOX and financial audit requests by providing documentation, testing evidence, and timely responses to internal audit, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.

  • Manage and supervise the preparation and review of imputed‑income and proxy reporting schedules, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.

  • Lead initiatives that streamline financial processes while strengthening the control environment.

  • Establish performance metrics and align the team with corporate risk‑management and compliance objectives.

  • Partner with stakeholders to communicate control expectations, findings, and remediation plans.

  • Where possible, leverage ERPs and analytics tools to monitor control performance, generate risk dashboards, and enable data‑driven decision‑making.

  • Manage a team of up to five accountants/analysts, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development to build expertise in operational finance and internal‑control practices.

  • Excels at analytical thinking and problem solving, consistently identifying root causes, developing corrective action plans, and delivering sustainable solutions for moderate‑to‑high‑complexity issues.

  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, presenting technical findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior executives.

  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.

  • Manages projects with strong time‑management and organizational skills, adeptly prioritizing competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or a related field) and a minimum of seven years of experience in operational finance/accounting, including direct work with internal controls.

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory role with responsibility for directing the work of other employees.

  • Experience evaluating financial transactions and operational processes against the SOX control framework.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and can analyze complex data and processes across a variety of financial functions.

  • Proficient in at least one major ERP platform and exposure to expense‑management systems such as Concur.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Service Now and Workiva.

  • Prior exposure to executive perquisites, imputed income, and proxy disclosure reporting.

  • Significant experience with SAP (S/4).

  • Significant experience with Concur.

Primary Level Salary Range: $ - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
