Key Responsibilities- Analyze operational data to provide financial insights that optimize costs and drive business performance, applying your understanding of Amazon's financial processes and internal controls to existing products and tools.
- Develop and utilize AI‑powered dashboards for anomaly detection and trend analysis, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Partner with operations teams to validate business case assumptions, track performance metrics, and contribute to automated reporting systems that reduce manual work by 40‑50%.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement improvements to remediate gaps, ensuring reporting accuracy by diving deep into data discrepancies and executing fixes.
- Collaborate across finance, operations, supply chain, and technology teams to develop standardized investment evaluation processes and financial playbooks that scale independently of building count.
Your day begins with analyzing operational data to identify cost optimization opportunities across the newly launching Regional Distribution Center (rDC) network. You'll spend time developing or refining AI‑powered dashboards that automatically detect anomalies and visualize trends. Throughout the day, you'll partner with operations teams to validate business assumptions, contribute to automated reporting systems, and participate in cross‑functional councils where you'll provide financial perspectives on placement and quality strategy decisions.
You'll balance your analytical work with collaborative sessions, driving data quality improvements and system integration while validating productivity metrics.
Our team supports the rDC network, playing a critical role as financial advocates and business partners. We design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business. Team members partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Technology. The team culture emphasizes data‑driven decision making, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance) experience
