Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to be a trusted finance partner supporting operational and functional leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Build financial models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions that deliver results.
- Partner with the Regional Finance Manager to develop and execute weekly and monthly financial reviews, forecasting, and reporting models.
- Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution.
- Identify the need for improved controls to address risk driven by business, industry, policy, and regulatory changes and proactively propose control solutions.
- Manage competing priorities, provide guidance during unexpected events, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Identify and implement opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations.
- Understand how data flows through our financial platforms and establish a source of truth.
- Simplify and centralize process improvement and reporting to allow business partners and customers to take action quickly.
- Lead through ambiguity, design and implement new financial reporting/modeling, and find creative solutions utilizing large scale data mining tools.
- Participate in hiring, developing activities, and mentor new team members.
- Value and leverage diverse perspectives, challenge business partner plans and assumptions when needed.
- Communicate data in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner both verbally and in writing.
- Articulate complex finance issues to non-Finance partners and positively contribute to work/life harmony on your team.
- 6+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root cause analysis, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact on business.
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL and experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, Excel, Essbase, Cognos, etc.).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis and interpreting results.
