Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Senior Accountant / FP&A Associate to join our finance team. In this dual-function role, you will own day-to-day accounting operations while also contributing to financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and providing data-driven insights to support business decisions in a fast-paced cybersecurity environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & General Ledger
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger using Quick Books, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries
- Record and review journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and customer invoicing
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
- Assist in the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans
- Analyze variances between actuals and budget/forecast, providing clear narratives on key drivers
- Build and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making
- Prepare management reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and ad hoc financial analyses for leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to gather data and deliver meaningful financial insights
- Support month-end close commentary and executive presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting and/or FP&A experience
- Proficiency in Quick Books (Desktop or Online); experience managing a full-cycle general ledger
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling)
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders
- CPA license or active CPA candidate strongly preferred
- Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or technology sectors
- Experience supporting audits (internal or external)
