Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to join the DATA (Data, Analytics, Tools, and Automation) Team, supporting operational and functional leaders in IXD and SDC within Amazon's Fulfillment Network. Key Job Responsibilities- Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build models and analyses with little guidance, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams and organizations.
- Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to business leaders to support operational and growth decisions and action plans.
- Own reporting for a business area and may supervise or teach others in building or maintaining reporting.
- Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards.
- Develop and execute scalable and auditable data analysis processes.
- Intuitively utilize active listening skills to communicate data clearly, concisely, and unambiguously, adjusting style based on audience.
- Create effective business partnerships with Finance partners and Site Leaders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.
- Take part in developing and mentoring activities, leveraging diverse perspectives.
As a Senior Financial Analyst of the NACF team, you will work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy, ever‑changing environment. You will collaborate with Finance, Ops, and Support teams to help make Amazon the Earth’s Best Employer. Automation, reporting, and data‑driven analysis will encompass your days. You will support multiple sites, so up to 20% travel is expected throughout the year.
About the TeamThis role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Technology. It plays a critical role as a financial advocate and business partner. You will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.
Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 4+ years of accounts receivable or accounts payable experience.
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
- 3+ years of contributing to cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of quantitative role experience (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance).
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos, and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
