The Investment Management (IM) team is responsible for delivering the firm’s investment solutions, guidance, and services. The team’s work spans portfolio management, investment platform design, trading and execution support, and investment advisory services, serving as a key partner to advisors and clients across the organization.
Investment Management is seeking a Portfolio Specialist to play a key role in investment advisory support, portfolio analysis, and advisor partnership. This highly visible, client‑facing role works closely with advisors to help win and retain business by delivering tailored portfolio insights, investment proposals, and market commentary. The Portfolio Specialist will leverage the firm’s investment platform, tools, and internal resources to support portfolio construction, communicate investment recommendations clearly, and deliver an exceptional advisor and client experience.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Own the preparation and delivery of customized investment proposals, portfolio analyses, and advisor‑facing materials for clients and prospects
- Lead preparation for portfolio review and client meetings by developing tailored reporting, investment commentary, and portfolio recommendations aligned with client objectives
- Partner closely with advisors and senior investment team members to articulate portfolio strategy, investment positioning, and market perspectives to clients and prospects
- Analyze portfolio allocations, manager performance, investment strategies, and market trends to support investment recommendations and client discussions
- Serve as a trusted resource for advisor and client inquiries, delivering timely, accurate, and thoughtful responses
- Prepare competitive analyses of investment products, managers, and portfolios using Morningstar and proprietary portfolio analytics tools
- Support advisor prospecting and business development efforts through product presentations, prospect materials, and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Marketing, and other business partners to support client service, improve workflows, and enhance scalability
- Lead through the firm’s EMPOWER framework by communicating proactively, taking ownership, and helping advisors win and retain business
- Provide guidance to junior team members and support the Investment Platform Team
- Bachelor’s degree required (U.S. or equivalent), preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in investment management, wealth management, asset management, or a related financial services environment
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, manager selection, and a broad range of investment products and strategies
- Demonstrated ability to analyze portfolio positioning, investment performance, and market developments and translate insights into clear, client‑friendly recommendations
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the professionalism to engage effectively with advisors, clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships
