Director of Finance and Accounting

Salary: $150,000 – $210,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.

Manage cash flow and prepare monthly financial reports and statements.

Utilize SAGE, Salesforce, and Navison to streamline and automate financial processes.

Provide financial insights to guide strategic decisions, helping the organization achieve its financial goals.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Prepare and submit 990 forms and other regulatory filings.

Collaborate with other department heads to align financial management with overall business strategy.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior‑level financial or accounting role in a nonprofit environment.

Experience with system migration (Salesforce and/or Business Central is a huge plus).

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required. Additional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are preferred.

Proven experience in managing accounting operations, cash flow, and monthly reporting.

Proficiency in using financial software such as SAGE, Salesforce, and Navison.

Experience in providing financial insights and guiding strategic decisions.

Knowledge of financial regulations and standards, including experience in preparing and submitting 990 forms.

Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential financial issues and devise effective solutions.
