Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Strategic Finance serves as a strategic partner to the VP of Finance and a trusted analytical resource to the executive team and the company's private equity sponsor. This is the intellectual engine behind the company’s most consequential financial analyses — the person who helps shape how the Board and sponsor understand the business, frames the questions behind the numbers, and turns complex, multi-site performance data into a clear strategic narrative.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this individual owns and drives core finance processes end-to-end — managing them to completion with minimal oversight — while setting the standard for analytical rigor across the finance function and engaging directly with executives and the sponsor on the issues that matter most. The role is built for a sophisticated finance professional from a private equity or investment banking background who thrives in ambiguity and wants outsized ownership of the strategic finance agenda inside a fast-scaling, PE-backed healthcare platform, with a clear path to grow into a Director-level role over time.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Partnership & Executive Reporting
  • Serve as the VP of Finance’s primary thought partner on the company’s highest-stakes analyses, capable of taking broad, sometimes ambiguous, guidance from the C-suite or sponsor and independently driving it to a defensible, decision-ready answer.
  • Architect and elevate the analytical substance and narrative of the monthly operating review (MOR) and Board reporting — defining what the business should be measuring, why it matters, and what the numbers are telling leadership to do.
  • Lead the redesign and ongoing development of sponsor- and board-grade reporting, serving as the day-to-day executor while the VP of Finance retains ownership of the final MOR and Board deliverables and the sponsor relationship.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional departments/teams to ensure all reporting ties to the financials and the month-end close, and pressure-test data integrity across source systems — a meaningful undertaking during the ongoing ERP implementation.
  • Own quarterly debt covenant compliance reporting and lender deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in a leveraged, sponsor-backed environment.
  • Serve as the VP of Finance’s go-to owner for high-priority finance initiatives and special projects — from process and systems improvements (including the ongoing ERP implementation of Net Suite and Net Suite Planning & Budgeting) to ad hoc executive requests — independently driving each to completion.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Analysis
  • Own, lead, and manage the annual budget process end-to-end — from calendar, templates, and assumptions through consolidation, review, and final approval — running it to deadline with minimal oversight and treating it as a strategic exercise that connects operational drivers to enterprise value.
  • Establish and own a forecast cadence for the organization — building the rolling monthly forecast and the recurring rhythm, discipline, and cross-functional inputs behind it, and surfacing the decisions management needs to make.
  • Bring an investor’s lens to performance — margin, cost structure, capital allocation, and value-creation levers — and translate that lens into recommendations the executive team acts on.
Corporate Spend & Financial Intelligence
  • Own corporate department (G&A / overhead) spend budgeting, tracking, and analytics as a center of financial intelligence — building the departmental budgets, monitoring spend against budget, and turning…
