City of Irving is currently accepting registration for the next Firefighter entrance examination. Registrants will be notified when the examination date has been set. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must be a U.S. citizen

* Must be between the ages of 21 and 40 to be hired

* Must have high school diploma or GED

* If time was served in the military, must have proof of discharge under honorable conditions

* Must have a good driving record

* Must have a clear arrest record

* Must have good credit rating

* Must have good hearing in both ears

* Vision must be correctable to 20/20; must be able to distinguish the colors red, green and yellow
