Position: Graduate Intern (Part-Time)
Duties include assisting the MDU division with tasks related to; flooding and drainage concern investigations, construction site SWPPP reviews and inspections, floodway and levee inspections, municipal pollution prevention inspections, TPDES permitting, drone mapping, waterway bathymetrics, bioassessments, and citywide watershed basin evaluations. Additional duties include assisting with collecting field data; conducting surveys and other research including analyzing, tracking and summarizing informational and statistical data;

assisting with public education, outreach activities and events; providing assistance with special projects; preparing PowerPoint presentations, maps, exhibits and a variety of reports, spreadsheets, correspondence and other documents; and performing clerical tasks, such as answering the telephone and filing. This position will encompass regular interaction with the other City departments and outside agencies. Must be currently enrolled in, or have completed within the past year, an undergraduate program with major course work in an environmental science or related field.
