Job Overview

Duties include coordinating and implementing the department’s technical training program and overseeing all licensing training for Irving Water. As a program lead, this position provides technical guidance to two to five employees.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering training.
  • Coordinating with outside vendors.
  • Purchasing training materials.
  • Managing the partnership with IISD for career and technical education.
  • Supporting water conservation initiatives through public education and the City’s leak detection program.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Water Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Three years of water distribution system experience, including at least one year each in water operations and wastewater operations.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • TCEQ Class C Water Distribution License (with ability to obtain a Class B within two years).
  • TCEQ Level II Wastewater License (with ability to obtain Level III within two years).
  • Ability to meet qualifications required for TCEQ approved water/wastewater licensing instructor.

Pay and Benefits

PAY GRADE GG20 / FULL PAY RANGE $29.47 - $41.52 PER HOUR
