Based on the provisions of the decree of January 18, 2024, establishing the duties of the fire prevention and protection inspector (IPPCI), the position holder is placed under the authority of the current inspector to control the quality of fire prevention and protection devices implemented within the areas under the authority of the Minister of Defense. They contribute to the missions or investigations conducted by the members of the military corps of the General Control of Armies or by other inspectors of the specialized inspection group of the CGA.

As the intended person responsible for their reports, the position holder has a ministerial commission. With great writing skills, they engage their personal legal responsibility through their writings and recommendations.

Category A civil servant or contract agent Level 1 who has worked or is working as a fire expert within an organic chain under the Ministry of Defense. Knowledge of the organization, interactions, and modes of operation of the armed forces, departments, and services of the Ministry. Diplomas:
Holder of the second-level fire preventionist diploma (PRV2) or the second-level fire prevention attestation (AP2). Ideally, holder of a certificate or diploma in the field of health, safety, and the environment.

Skills:

Mastery of the normative environment of fire prevention. Mastery of health and safety at work rules applicable to the Ministry of Defense. Sense of initiative, conviction, and relationship skills. Developed sense of collaborative work. Ideally, knowledge of interministerial decision-making processes.

Numerous field trips throughout the year in metropolitan France (2 to 4 days on average).
