Duties include inspecting food establishments, temporary food event vendors, commercial / residential childcare facilities and nursing homes to ensure compliance with city, state and federal codes and regulations; responding to questions and complaints from the public and City staff; recommending ordinance revisions; preparing reports; maintaining records; negotiating solutions for compliance; issuing citations; and preparing cases and testifying in court.
PAY GRADE GG18 / FULL PAY RANGE $26.72 - $37.67 PER HOUR ($55,596 - $78,372 ANNUALLY)
A Bachelor's degree, with at least 30 semester hours in science, and two years of relevant experience required. Must have an appropriate Texas driver's license and have, or be able to obtain within a specified timeframe, Sanitarian and Code Enforcement Officer licenses.
