Duties include supporting the department’s operational readiness by managing equipment inspections and inventories; coordinating vehicle maintenance and transport; enforcing parking regulations; and assisting with front desk operations. Additional duties include providing supplemental response to non-emergency incidents such as minor traffic collisions, stranded motorists, and roadway obstructions; and ensuring compliance with departmental standards while delivering logistical support for fleet and equipment needs.

The work schedule requires flexibility and may involve shift work ranging from working days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and / or holidays. A high school diploma or GED required.

Duties involve access to sensitive Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), which requires that a thorough background check be conducted.
Candidates will be subject to a polygraph exam and criminal history check. Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) and Privacy Training must be successfully completed within the first five business days from start of work date;

and must be maintained during employment. Must also obtain and maintain NCIC/TCIC, Texas Crime Information Center (TCIC) and Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) certifications. Starting salary is step 1; prior public safety training or experience may qualify candidates for a higher step.

FULL PAY RANGE $20.85 - $29.38 PER HOUR
