Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs quality ultrasound procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist of all ages. Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment based on practice standards, radiation safety guidelines.

What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and position patients.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release the patient with proper post-procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT)
• High School Graduate / GED
• Registered with ARDMS or registry eligible with ARDMS ( Must comply with ACR)
• If Registry eligible, must become registered with-in 2 years of graduation from accredited ultrasound program
