Phlebotomist Opportunity in Irving, TX
Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in Irving, TX 75038. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Specific Duties:
- Performing venipuncture and specimen collection
- Collecting blood from patients using both venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques
- Processing and preparing specimens for testing and transport
- Troubleshooting any issues related to specimen collection
- Providing proper patient instructions for various collection methods, such as urine collection
- Instructing patients on post-phlebotomy care
- Properly disposing of hazardous and sharp materials
- Obtaining specimens for microbiology testing
- Adhering to standard operating procedures, including the positive identification of all patient specimens and performing both waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of preferred experience
- Certified Phlebotomist
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification

Monday through Friday and every other Saturday - Office
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm - Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2 without benefits
