Team Leader MRI

Methodist Health System seeks a Team Leader MRI to oversee nursing care in our MRI department. This role coordinates patient flow, supervises staff, and ensures safe, high-quality imaging services for diverse patient populations. The Team Leader MRI conducts assessments, starts IVs, administers contrast, monitors high-acuity patients, and upholds MRI safety and regulatory standards. Collaborating closely with radiologists, technologists, and the Emergency Department, this leader supports a culture of integrity, compassion, and accountability while mentoring staff and driving continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily MRI nursing operations, ensuring safe, efficient workflows
• Coordinate and mentor MRI nursing staff and technologists
• Perform patient assessments, IV access, and contrast administration
• Monitor patients before, during, and after MRI procedures
• Ensure adherence to MRI safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, ED, and inpatient teams on patient care plans
• Respond to emergencies and manage critically ill patients in the MRI setting
• Support quality improvement, staff education, and best-practice initiatives
