FAR Out Hospitality is seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Greeter/Host. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience.

Host/Greeter

Duties
  • Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude upon arrival, making them feel immediately welcomed.
  • Manage guest check‑in procedures efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to record reservations and walk‑in arrivals.
  • Direct guests to their tables or designated areas while providing helpful information about the venue’s offerings.
  • Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with clear communication and professional phone etiquette.
  • Coordinate with restaurant staff and management to ensure smooth seating flow and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the greeting area, ensuring a polished appearance at all times.
  • Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest experience.
Skills
  • Previous host/hostess experience or background in food service and hospitality environments.
  • Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to create positive interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with diverse guests.
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
  • Experience in hotel or guest services roles is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across hospitality settings.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure.
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices to foster welcoming environments. This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about hospitality who thrive on creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional service and lively engagement!
