Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Irving, Texas. This is a long-term contract opportunity that requires expertise in payroll processing and reconciliation for a large workforce. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring payroll accuracy and resolving discrepancies efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for over 6,000 employees using Workday, ensuring all data is accurate and properly reconciled.

- Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries through Service Now, maintaining a high level of responsiveness.

- Collaborate with tax filing partners to ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.

- Conduct extensive payroll clean-up tasks, including resolving discrepancies and documenting corrections for audit purposes.

- Utilize Excel for processing and balancing payroll data in support of adjustments and reconciliations.

- Ensure all payroll-related activities are completed in a timely manner to meet organizational deadlines.

- Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support payroll audits and compliance.

- Coordinate with internal teams to improve payroll processes and address operational challenges.

- Stay up to date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure adherence to best practices.

- Provide support during hybrid work transition after initial training. Requirements - Proven experience with full-cycle payroll for large organizations, ideally managing payroll for over 500 employees.

- Expertise in multi-state payroll processes and compliance.

- Proficiency in Workday and ADP Workforce Now systems.

- Strong skills in payroll reconciliation and data accuracy.

- Advanced knowledge of Excel for payroll adjustments and calculations.

- Ability to manage high volumes of payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

- Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
