Summary:
Leads the execution and development of strategic comprehensive programs across the ministries. Manages multiple compensation initiatives, provides technical leadership to team members, and partners with HR leadership and operational stakeholders to optimize total rewards strategy.

Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. - Manage compensation projects from initiation through completion, including developing project plans, coordinating team activities, establishing timelines and deliverables, and ensuring the successful execution of compensation initiatives.
- Manage union compensation, including wage structure compliance, contract implementation, grievance response, and coordination of union-related compensation changes.
- Lead merger, acquisition, and organizational restructuring compensation activities.
- Lead compensation projects, including market analysis, job evaluations, pay equity assessments, and compensation program design and implementation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and internal policy adherence across all compensation initiatives.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and operational leaders on workforce and compensation planning and execution.
- Maintain compensation process documentation.
- Manages multiple ticket queues within established SLAs.
- Mentor compensation team members on technical analysis, quality, and project execution.
- Review team market pricing/benchmarking of jobs, including ad hoc reviews as requested.
- Develop and present executive-ready compensation analyses and strategic recommendations through comprehensive PowerPoint presentations to inform leadership decision-making.
- Evaluate new and revised job descriptions, ensuring the job content is aligned throughout and reflects appropriate essential functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance or related field.
- 8 years of experience in compensation required, healthcare experience is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in union contract administration and labor relations
- Strong project management and team leadership capabilities
- Advanced understanding of FLSA and other federal and local wage and hour legislation
- Intermediate knowledge of HRIS/compensation systems
- Advanced understanding of Excel and Power Point
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Proven experience managing large-scale compensation projects across complex organizations
- Occasional overnight travel
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) through Worldat Work preferred
In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.
