PURPOSEGain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and hands-on Human Resources assignments. The Human Resources Intern will support various HR functions, including onboarding, employee engagement, benefits administration, compliance initiatives, and special projects. Work is performed under direct supervision while providing valuable exposure to core HR practices and business operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Support onboarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Assist with benefits administration processes, employee communication, and benefits orientation activities.
- Help maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
- Support employee recognition and engagement programs by assisting with planning, communication, and coordination of events and initiatives.
- Participate in HR projects involving data gathering, reporting, research, and process improvement efforts.
- Assist with compiling and organizing information for departmental reports, audits, and compliance-related activities.
- Support training and development initiatives, including scheduling training sessions, tracking participation, and preparing materials.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional projects.
- Assist with employee relations initiatives and help direct employee inquiries to appropriate HR team members.
- Support exit interview administration and assist with analyzing feedback and identifying trends.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree. Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher. Prefer junior or senior level, but will consider other class levels.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.

- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
- Work is in an office setting and generally sedentary, but position may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
- May be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds.
