Currently we are seeking a Network Engineer for one of our clients that is a leading multination corporation.
Location: IRVING, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 6 months
Role DescriptionCompetencies:
6-8+ years experience
- Good Knowledge in Cisco Nexus Devices and Forti Gate Firewalls
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Configuring and managing routers, switches and firewalls
- Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and security protocols.
- Scripting with Power Shell or Python for efficiency.
- Using tools to track and optimize network health.
- Implementing and managing backup/disaster recovery plans.
- Strong Problem Solving and Analytical skills
- Excellent communication (written/oral) & presentation skills
- Ability to interact with internal/external clients and handle escalations
- Highly committed to meet the business objectives
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software, including multi-user applications and servers.
- Implement and oversee security measures like firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, and VPNs to protect against unauthorized access.
- Resolve network connectivity issues, hardware/software problems, and provide technical assistance to end-users.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and security principles.
