Snowflake Administrator

Overview

Snowflake Administrator on a contract basis in Irving, TX. Requires 5+ years of database administration experience, strong Snowflake expertise, and knowledge of SQL, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data security.

• Administer and manage Snowflake data warehouse environments
• Configure roles, users, and access controls for secure data access
• Monitor performance, storage, and query optimization
• Implement data backup, recovery, and failover strategies
• Manage Snowflake resource monitors, warehouses, and cost optimization
• Support data loading and transformation processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and data issues
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts
• Maintain system documentation and best practices
• Implement governance, security, and compliance policies

• 5+ years of data platform/database administration experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of data security and access control
• Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools
• Database Administrator (SQL) tooling and terminology
