Overview
Cloud Governance & Policy Engineer (Posture Management). Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite. Irving, TX;
Chandler, AZ;
Charlotte, NC. Contract | Enterprise Financial Environment | High-Impact Engineering Role.
Are you a cloud security engineer who naturally thinks in posture, policy, and preventive guardrails rather than runtime firefighting? If you enjoy building automation that eliminates misconfigurations before they reach production, this Posture Engineer-style role may be for you. Our enterprise financial-sector customer is hiring two Cloud Governance & Policy Engineers to strengthen cloud posture management across Azure and Google Cloud.
This role is deeply technical, with a focus on Terraform, Rego/RQL, CSPM automation, and enabling secure cloud maturity at scale.
Why This Role Stands Out:
Influenced by the Posture Engineer concept, this position focuses on preventing risk, not reacting to it. You ll shape cloud governance by designing automated controls, codifying configuration requirements, and enabling developer self-service scanning. This is a high-ownership, engineering-heavy role—ideal for someone who loves building automation, codifying policy, and modernizing enterprise cloud security.
Work Location:
This is a hybrid role. Candidates must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in one of the following locations:
Irving, TX;
Chandler, AZ;
Charlotte, NC. No fully remote options.

- 5+ years Information Security Engineering
- 4+ years Terraform / automation engineering
- 2+ years Azure & Google Cloud (services, workloads, hardening practices)
- 1+ year Rego or RQL policy development
- Python automation and REST API experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops)
- Strong communicator able to influence cloud and security stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban teams
- Strong analytical mindset and proven ability to work independently
- Hands-on experience with Wiz (CSPM/CNAPP)
