The Data Migration Lead – SAP S/4

HANA Utilities is responsible for planning, executing, and governing end-to-end data conversion activities for SAP S/4

HANA Utilities and SAP Service Cloud implementations. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, technical development teams, and project leadership to ensure accurate, complete, and timely migration of complex utility data. The role requires deep expertise in SAP data migration tools, reconciliation methodologies, and strong leadership to guide onshore and offshore teams through successful migration cycles.

• Implement and execute the approved data conversion and migration strategy for SAP S/4
  
  HANA Utilities and SAP Service Cloud (v1 or v2) implementations.
• Conduct Data Migration Workshops with business stakeholders to validate scope, requirements, and data readiness.
• Capture, document, and communicate functional and technical migration requirements to development teams for the creation of custom extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) programs.
• Lead and support data reconciliation activities, ensuring migrated data accuracy using defined tools, controls, and validation methodologies.
• Document and maintain data migration specifications, including detailed technical mappings between source and target systems.
• Load SAP IS-U / CR&B data using SAP data migration tools such as EMIGALL.
• Leverage group import, distribution import, and other EMIGALL functionalities to automate the data migration process end-to-end.
• Support and mentor client extraction and transformation teams to ensure technically sound and scalable data programs.
• Mentor and guide additional data migration team members on EMIGALL and migration best practices.
• Coordinate and support onshore and offshore data migration load teams, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Lead data migration status meetings, track deliverables, and proactively identify and escalate migration risks and issues.
• Provide weekly data migration status reports to the Project Management Office (PMO).
• Design and maintain dashboards and reporting artifacts that accurately reflect the real-time status of data migration activities.

• Proven experience leading SAP S/4
  
  HANA data migration initiatives, preferably in Utilities or regulated industries.
• Strong hands-on expertise with SAP data migration tools, including EMIGALL.
• Experience migrating SAP IS-U / CR&B data and related master and transactional objects.
• Strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, loading, and reconciliation methodologies.
• Ability to document and manage technical data mappings and migration requirements.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business users, developers, and PMO.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical migration concepts into business-friendly language.
• Experience coordinating onshore and offshore delivery teams.
• Strong organizational and risk-management skills in large-scale transformation programs.

• Prior experience with SAP Service Cloud (v1 or v2) data migration.
• Experience building data migration dashboards and reporting for executive and PMO audiences.
• Utilities industry experience, including complex customer, billing, and meter data models.
• Exposure to SAP S/4
  
  HANA Utilities transformations or brownfield conversions.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models in SAP programs.
• Experience coaching or mentoring junior migration resources.

• This role requires the candidate to work hybrid to Irving, TX
