IT Project Manager, Systems Engineer
The Project Associate Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex network infrastructure programs across global markets. This role oversees multivendor execution, cross functional alignment, and technical validation for services such as Dark Fiber, Leased Wave, Bulk Fiber, IP Transit, and Collocation. They ensure that every project meets quality, performance, timeline, and customer satisfaction targets. End‑to‑end delivery of complex network infrastructure programs across global markets.
Key Responsibilities Program & Delivery Leadership- Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale network infrastructure projects—from planning and design through implementation, testing, and customer acceptance. - Manage scope, milestones, risks, and dependencies across multiple concurrent programs.
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Present program plans, set expectations, and ensure client business priorities are accurately translated into execution requirements
- Act as lead vendor manager for all assigned projects, ensuring compliance with SLAs and contractual obligations.
- Track performance, address slippage, and escalating issues through vendor leadership when needed
- Drive alignment across internal teams (TPMs, Fiber Network Deployment, Technical Field Assist, etc.) to ensure seamless execution
- Coordinate all activities required to achieve design readiness, field deployment, testing, and turn‑up
- Own RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) management for the entire program.
- Identify risks early, implement mitigation plans, and elevate critical blockers to protect delivery timelines
- Lead all program governance touchpoints, including kickoff, weekly status, vendor syncs, and escalation calls
- Produce concise, data driven dashboards and health reports for internal leadership and clients.
- Oversee technical delivery activities such as cross‑connect facilitation, fiber readiness validation, and test/turn‑up scheduling
- Manage final acceptance with vendors, ensuring all network elements meet technical and performance criteria
- Ensure accurate acceptance dates, proper documentation, and complete handoff packages for downstream teams (e.g., TPMs)
- Launch client and vendor satisfaction surveys to confirm delivery quality and identify improvement opportunities
- Minimum of 5 years’ end‑to‑end delivery experience managing network or fiber infrastructure projects
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing technical or delivery teams
- Working within telecommunications provisioning, service delivery, network deployment
- Hands‑on exposure to global carrier environments across North America, and/or LATAM
- Practical knowledge of:
- IP Transit and Peering
- Dark Fiber & Wavelength services
- Optical transport technologies
- Fiber infrastructure and related network equipment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients, leadership teams, and partner organizations
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and operate in fast paced, time-sensitive environments
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of structured problem solving
- Experience delivering multiregional infrastructure programs with global vendors
- Familiarity with project management, RAID processes, and network testing workflows
