Information Technology Project Manager

Location:

Irving, Texas (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week onsite to start)

Contract:

12-month contract to start with strong potential for extension

Our client, a global leader in the convenience retail industry, is seeking an experienced Information Technology Project Manager to support enterprise IT Operations initiatives, with a strong focus on cloud, Dev Ops, infrastructure, and data center–related projects
.

This role sits within an IT Operations team
, but follows all established PMO governance standards and methodologies. The ideal candidate brings a blend of hands-on project management expertise and solid technical understanding
, particularly within cloud and Dev Ops environments.

• Partner with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to plan and execute cloud, Dev Ops, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets.
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities, track progress, and manage dependencies.
• Serve as the central communication point for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting notes, risk logs, and action items.
• Identify risks and issues, escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution.
• Facilitate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda creation, and follow-up.
• Manage resource coordination and utilization across teams.
• Ensure adherence to PMO governance, standards, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement to enhance delivery outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, project coordination, or a similar role.
• Experience supporting cloud and Dev Ops projects with an understanding of the differences between the two.
• Working knowledge of SDLC and common project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
• Demonstrated experience using multiple project management tools
  , such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Smartsheet
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficiency in reporting and analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving IT environment.

• CAPM, PMP, or similar project management certification.
• Experience supporting IT Operations teams.
• Background working in fully cloud-based environments.
