The Director of Cloud Operations develops and implements a global hosting strategy aiming at improving business processes and global organization effectiveness and will provide senior leadership, strategy, financial management and responsibility over this key business unit. The Director of Cloud Operations will be responsible for managing all infrastructure development, test, and production environments for both clients and internal stakeholders in a secure, robust, and performing fashion.
This role will focus on delivering excellence when it comes to system uptime, change management, cost effectiveness, disaster recovery, business continuity, security, and compliance of the company's IT infrastructure. The role is also responsible for defining and implementing our Security standards and ensuring the business remains compliant
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously enhance the security and compliance of production environments by implementing best practices and new security measures
- Ensure high availability of cloud services, maintaining reliable and continuous access to cloud-based resources and applications
- Develop and implement a robust system for tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance organizational accountability
- Manage vendor relationships from selection through contract negotiation, ensuring favorable terms and strategic partnerships
- Lead and optimize the integration process for Delivery Engine (DE) teams post-acquisition, ensuring seamless operational and cultural alignment
- Deliver reliable hosted solutions with consistent uptime of 99.9% or higher
- Meticulous and detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and high-quality outcomes
- Ability to identify potential issues proactively and mitigate risks effectively
- Proficiency in using data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive strategy
- Long-term planning aligned with market trends and organizational vision
- Ability to plan and align IT infrastructure to support business growth and operational needs
- Experience implementing disaster recovery plans to ensure operational continuity
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in IT or cloud operations
- 2+ years of IT leadership experience, including help desk establishment, vendor management, and budget ownership
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
